Scott M. Lilly is a fine, graphic, concept and portrait artist; designer, illustrator and NY-based instructor who creates singular pieces and experiences through multiple mediums in fresh, dynamic and innovative ways. ‘Serious with a sense of humor’, his work explores the overlap of our intellectual and creative minds, our visceral emotions and sense memory; often encouraging us in real time to explore the conversations presented, above & beyond the work itself. With a background in psychology and theatrical design, Scott considers himself a Storyteller above all else, and much of his work can be defined by their vibrant color palettes, nuanced attention to detail, and a balanced sense of drama and whimsy.
These selections from his Pandemic Series express the vividness and complexity of emotions we feel when processing trauma, grief and joy. His work invokes a sense of movement and memory, asking us to relive and reflect on moments that shape our perspective.
